playing with new software

good evening. i decided before  christmas that i was going to treat myself to "adobe photoshop elements10". i was on sale just before christmas for almost half price so i picked it up.  my "blogging for bliss" book mentioned the software all the time. and a big impressive "slr digital camera" too. i don't have one of those but i do have a decent one with a zoom lens. now just like my book for dummies and my "blogging for bliss", my new software all have to kind to me so i can work along and get this blog sooooooooooooooooooo darn shiny and gleaming that you will need sunglasses to read it!!!!
 ya right. just warning everyone!!

folder paper tree ornament

this is one of my pen and ink designs. i wanted to make a folded paper medallion and add the horse for a tree ornament. it took me several tries to get things measured and folded to make a circle, but i finally worked it out. i really love this look. i hope you do too!

my boys.

i have been playing around with my blog trying to find a new look. well that took  me well over 3 hours and still cant figure out just what i want.
 while i am messing about with designing this blog i want to introduce you to my boy"spike" the chesty guy and "madisson" the little fellow.
 madisson is close to 5 years old now. what is a little whipper snapper.............. go..... go......... gooooooooooooo. he never stops!!
 spike is i guess coming up to 4 years old now. we found him on a web site for dogs that needed a new home. boy he is one huge suck. he is a very loving guy, kissing all the time, and ohhhhhh ya he loves to sleep.
 we are suppose to get lots of snow here tonight . it might be a tough drive to work in the morning.
 so have fun and enjoy your evening.
 if you post to me i am still trying to figure out how to  read them, how to reply to them and how to reply to comments and just about everything else i should be doing to make this blog work for me.
 so thanks for your patients and hang in there with me. one day i will figure this all out. oh ya i am still reading the "dummies" book. maybe i should have bought a book for "idiots" on blogs instead!!

i am back just as promised

Well today has been  an unusual kind odd day. When i woke this morning it was just like spring outside and now, this evening is snowing! The ground is covered!
  As promised I am back. I have been reading my "dummies"  book.
 I want to try a  Brand New Look. Hopefully you will see some the changes soon.  I don't know my way around computers at all, hence buying the "dummies" book.  This is why I have chosen "blogger "for my blog. They promise fast and easy set up far that is sooooooooooooo true! now its up to me to make things look the way i want....................... ya right!  We will see. One thing I promise .................it will be colourful.

blogging for dummies

my goodness i just cant seem to get this blog going.
 in the hopes of making myself  work on this i have just purchased  the "blogging for dummies" book. so far i have  read a big fat total of 33 pages. no to begin this adventure again.
 my plan for this blog is to share some of my decorative painting techniques and to offer some "step by step" pen and ink art as well.
 is there anything that you would like some help if in the painting world? i am here just ask away.
 so hang in there and i will post soon.

 ya right how many times have i said that before??
 well look out it might just happen.

passion flower

this is the my first time growing passion flowers. this is teh only flower  that grew on my white plant. but i purple one is covered with budds and flowers. i will post those pictures later. i thought you might enjoy this georgous flower.
